AdventHealth names 2 Florida hospital CEOs

Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has appointed CEOs for two Florida campuses.

Brad Hillmon was named CEO of AdventHealth Apopka (Fla.) and Michael Mewhirter was named CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando (Fla.), according to an Aug. 26 health system news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Hillmon has been with AdventHealth for 10 years, most recently serving as COO of the Orlando campus. He previously served as COO for ambulatory services in the Central Florida Division and spent nearly 15 years in building materials manufacturing and distribution before joining AdventHealth.

Mr. Mewhirter most recently served as vice president and COO at AdventHealth Celebration in Kissimmee, Fla., where he led major capital projects including a patient tower and a freestanding ER. He previously spent nine years in leadership roles at Kettering (Ohio) Health.
