Indiana system CEO exits after less than 5 months
The president and CEO of Columbus (Ind.) Regional Health has exited the role after less than five months.
Steve Baker, who had served as president and CEO since April 1, is no longer with the organization, effective immediately, according to an Aug. 21 health system news release. Before taking the helm, he served as president and COO beginning in August 2024.
Jim Bickel, who retired March 31 after serving as president and CEO since 2007, returned to serve as interim president and CEO. He will remain in the interim role through 2025 and into 2026 as needed, the release said.
“I have served CRH proudly for 35 years and can personally attest to the positive impact our workforce and the culture within this organization has on the patients and the community we serve,” Mr. Bickel said in the release. “I look forward to leading and supporting this great organization during this time of transition.”
Columbus Regional Health serves a 10-county region in Indiana. Its flagship facility is the 225-bed Columbus Regional Hospital.
