
Kaiser taps medical foundation CEO
Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has named Jeff Krawcek, MD, as executive vice president and CEO of the KP Medical Foundation, effective Sept. 10.
Dr. Krawcek has 25 years of experience as a pediatrician, according to an Aug. 20 health system news release. He currently serves as president and executive medical director of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group, which includes more than 1,200 physicians. He joined the group in 2008 and previously held roles including vice president of people and communications and interim vice president of primary care and behavioral health.
In his new role, Dr. Krawcek will oversee the foundation’s support functions for medical groups in Colorado and Washington and lead performance across access, quality, service and cost.
He will succeed Paul Minardi, MD, who was named executive vice president of enterprise clinical integration and growth.
Kaiser Permanente serves 12.6 million members across eight states and Washington, D.C.
