
Seattle Children’s executive to join VUMC
Jamie Phillips has been appointed president of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn., effective Jan. 1.
Ms. Phillips currently serves as president and system COO of Seattle Children’s Hospital, according to a Sept. 9 news release from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in health care administration, including the past seven years in COO roles.
She will succeed Meg Rush, MD, who is retiring after 41 years of service to VUMC.
Monroe Carell handles more than 585,000 clinic visits and 17,000 inpatient discharges annually. It is licensed for 363 beds and offers more than 30 pediatric specialties, including the region’s only Level IV neonatal intensive care unit and Level 1 pediatric trauma center.
