Oracle adds AI supply chain tools for healthcare
Oracle has introduced new AI-powered features in its Fusion Cloud Applications aimed at helping healthcare organizations strengthen supply chain operations.
The enhancements include Oracle Fusion Cloud Advanced Inventory Management, which uses artificial intelligence to optimize stock levels, prevent shortages of critical supplies, and automate replenishment tasks. The system also integrates with robotic material handling and provides real-time alerts to speed urgent deliveries, streamline logistics and improve accuracy in inventory tracking. Supply chain leaders can also leverage the platform to notify the team of urgent supply deliveries that can bypass storage and delivery and get sent right to the point of care.
Oracle also updated Fusion Cloud Procurement with tools that automate lead times, streamline requisitions and purchase orders, and integrate seamlessly with both Oracle and third-party EHR systems. These updates are designed to simplify procurement workflows, cut costs and improve compliance.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications span multiple enterprise areas, including finance, human resources, supply chain and manufacturing, and customer experience. Each suite is designed to leverage AI to improve decision-making, automate processes and enhance operational resilience.
“Healthcare organizations face increasing pressure to maintain high-quality patient care while controlling costs and supporting their staff,” said Kristen Miles, vice president, Healthcare Product Strategy, Oracle. “The latest capabilities within Oracle Fusion Applications will help our customers leverage AI to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and gain real-time visibility into medical supplies. This will ultimately empower clinicians and supply chain teams to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care to patients.”
