Ohio hospital taps CMO, COO

Mount Vernon, Ohio-based Knox Community Hospital appointed a new chief medical officer and a new COO.

Tamara Holzer, DO, was appointed CMO in August. She has worked as a general surgeon for 14 years and first joined the hospital six years ago. As CMO, she will direct clinical operations, ensure quality of care and provide leadership to medical staff throughout the facility, according to a new report in knoxpages.com. 

Cindy Russo, BSN, was named COO in July. She will oversee the system’s daily operations and implement the CEO’s strategic vision. Ms. Russo began her career as a registered nurse, and most recently served as president of Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.
