Hartford HealthCare sees continued success with Amazon’s One Medical
Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare is expanding its collaboration with Amazon’s One Medical with plans to add new care sites across Connecticut, building on a three-year partnership that began in 2022.
The collaboration, announced in February 2022, offers a membership-based primary care option that blends One Medical’s technology-driven model with Hartford HealthCare’s integrated network of providers, outpatient facilities and hospitals.
The partnership currently supports an average of 750 visits per month, combining virtual and in-person care through a modern delivery model.
“Since then, we have launched three sites of care, with plans to add more across Connecticut,” Debra Hayes, chief integration officer at Hartford HealthCare, told Becker’s. “One Medical allows us to provide an affordable, effective and differentiated option for employers and benefit programs throughout the region. The organization’s transparency and shared goals have been essential to our continued success.”
She added that Hartford HealthCare has continued to broaden its primary care strategy, even beyond the One Medical partnership, by collaborating with other innovative platforms, including K Health, OnMed’s walk-in CareStations and GoHealth Urgent Care.
“At a time when consumers are increasingly accustomed to on-demand services, Hartford HealthCare has balanced agility and discipline in selecting platforms and partners that advance our goals of access, affordability, health equity and excellence — with measurable results,” she said.
The partnership positions Hartford HealthCare and One Medical to deliver flexible, patient-centered care while helping to address primary care shortages in the region.
