Arkansas hospital plans critical access conversion
Magnolia (Ark.) Regional Medical Center is planning to convert to a critical access hospital, the Magnolia Reporter reported Aug. 28.
The system said the transition is about securing the long-term stability of healthcare in Magnolia and Columbia counties, according to the report.
“As a community hospital, our mission has always been to provide the best possible care close to home,” COO Stephanie Schmittou said, according to the report. “This change helps us protect that mission and continue serving as a cornerstone of health for Magnolia and the surrounding region.”
