The hospitals that made U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2025-26 Honor Roll are also some of the most advanced for IT and digital technologies.

Here are the IT leaders of the 20 hospitals that were named best in the nation July 29 by U.S. News:

AdventHealth Orlando (Fla.): Duncan Grodack has been executive vice president and CIO of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth since January, having joined the health system in 2016.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston): Jane Moran has been chief information and digital officer of Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham since 2021.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles): Craig Kwiatkowski, PharmD, has been senior vice president of enterprise information services and CIO of Cedars-Sinai since 2022, having joined the health system in 2009.

Cleveland Clinic: Rohit Chandra, PhD, has been executive vice president and chief digital officer of Cleveland Clinic since 2022.

Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center at Hackensack Meridian Health: Joel Klein, MD, will become chief digital information officer of Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health on Sept. 15.

Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian (Philadelphia): Mitchell Schnall, MD, PhD, has been senior vice president for data and technology solutions at Penn Medicine since 2024, having joined the organization in 1990.

Houston Methodist Hospital: Ken Letkeman has been senior vice president and CIO of Houston Methodist since 2018.

Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore): Richard Mendola, PhD, has been vice president and CIO of Johns Hopkins Medicine since 2023.

Mayo Clinic-Arizona (Phoenix) and Mayo Clinic-Rochester (Minn.): Nari Gopala has been chief digital officer of Rochester-based Mayo Clinic since 2024.

Mount Sinai Hospital (New York City): Lisa Stump has been executive vice president and chief digital information officer of Mount Sinai Health System since 2024.

New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell (New York City): Peter Fleischut, MD, has been senior vice president and chief information and transformation officer of NewYork-Presbyterian since 2022, having been with the health system since 2010.

Northwestern Medicine-Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago): Doug King has been senior vice president and CIO of Northwestern Medicine since 2019, having joined the health system in 2006.

NYU Langone Hospitals (New York City): Nader Mherabi has been executive vice president and chief digital and information officer of NYU Langone Health since 2020, having joined the health system in 2004.

Rush University Medical Center (Chicago): Jeff Gautney has been senior vice president and CIO of Rush University System for Health since 2021.

Stanford Health Care-Stanford Hospital (Palo Alto, Calif.): Michael Pfeffer, MD, is senior vice president and chief information and digital officer of Stanford Health Care, having joined the health system in 2021.

UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles): Ellen Pollack, MSN, RN, has been CIO of UCLA Health since 2022, starting at the health system in 1993.

UCSF Health-UCSF Medical Center (San Francisco): Joe Bengfort is senior vice president of IT for UCSF Health, having been with the organization since 2011.

University of Michigan Health (Ann Arbor): Andrew Rosenberg, MD, has been CIO of Michigan Medicine since 2016, having joined the organization in 2006.
