Baystate Health names chief legal officer

Kathleen Healy has been appointed chief legal officer of Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health. She stepped into the role July 14.

In her new role, Ms. Healy will oversee legal, compliance, risk management and governance operations, according to a July 14 health system news release shared with Becker’s. She will also advise the system on navigating complex regulatory frameworks and claims and insurance matters.

Ms. Healy has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare law. She most recently served as a partner in Robinson & Cole’s health law group and co-chaired the firm’s artificial intelligence team.

Baystate Health operates five hospitals and employs nearly 13,000 people.
